Retirement isn't an Event - It's a Major Lifestyle Change You may only Experience Once - Make Sure you get it right.

These videos explore the process of transitioning from working to retirement—a change that sounds deceptively simple: stop working, start relaxing, and live happily ever after. In reality, it’s a bit like trying to install a brand-new operating system while the old one is still running, occasionally freezing, and repeatedly asking, “Now what day is it?” Retirement isn’t a one-time event; it’s a process, and this ten-video series helps make sense of the journey. You’ll start with the big picture and quickly discover that your carefully imagined retirement lifestyle and the one you actually end up living may differ slightly—mostly because the grass still needs cutting, the garage remains mysteriously full, and somehow your calendar gets busier after you stop working. You’ll learn why having a sense of purpose matters more than having a perfectly organized sock drawer and discover the mysterious “retirement tipping point”—that moment when another Monday morning meeting or yet another mandatory online training course suddenly makes retirement seem like a brilliant idea. Along the way, you’ll navigate the stages of retirement, encounter the various species of retirees in their natural habitats, and discover why retirees do what they do. (Spoiler: it involves considerably less sitting in rocking chairs and far more wondering how there was ever enough time to go to work.) You’ll also learn that retirement has both active and guided phases, neither of which comes with an owner’s manual, technical support, or a remote control.
Finally, you’ll explore the three essential pillars of a successful retirement—finance, fitness, and fun—otherwise known as the “three-legged stool.” Neglect any one of them, and retirement can become a rather wobbly affair. The series concludes with a practical roadmap for making the transition successfully without accidentally turning retirement into a full-time occupation of searching for your reading glasses, your car keys, or the reason you walked into the kitchen.
I also wrote a book on the subject, How to Successfully Make the Lifestyle Change from Working to Retirement, available electronically on Amazon for the princely sum of $9.99. But if reading a book sounds like too much commitment for retirement (which is ironic), the good news is that you can simply watch the videos instead—and without the risk of losing your place when you nod off in the recliner.
