Why this Blog?

After years of answering the same questions about gardening in Southern Texas usually beginning with, “Why did this plant die?” or “How do I spend less time and money in the garden?” I decided to put the answers in one place. These articles focus on improving and simplifying the landscape by choosing the right low- or no-maintenance plants, putting them in the right place, and giving them the care they actually need not the care garden centers wish they needed. The goal is simple: create a beautiful garden that doesn’t require a second mortgage or a full-time staff to maintain.
